The Sun, The Moon, The Babes and The Lamb. Those who were called, rolled in like waves responding to the pull of the Moon. The ring of the bell of Grace beckoned us to the Land, to Commune. Our Elders prepared the Ceremony Ground, and we gave thanks to our Relations, to whom we are bound. We walked to the Four Corners of our Sacred Place. We dug the turf beneath the Sun’s face. We collected our Blessed Sods as we were asked. The well-worn spade broke in two, having completed its final task. We merrily sang beneath the Moon, and then our Green Men collected her Dew. The Sods were sung by our Brothers in the Night, beneath her bright silvery light. The magic breath of Dawn awakened us from our slumber (yawn). Birdsong accompanied our bleary-eyed staggering, While the fresh breeze pinched the cheeks of our gathering. LIke Ceremonial Pilgrims we cast the Circle in Peace. The Clockwork Perfection began, as Nature’s timepiece rose in the East. Our first words greeted the dazzling Sun’s rays, while the Moon sat up high as it greeted the Day. We called out to the Four Corners of the Earth, the Spirts of the Four Directions. We honoured the Four Elements, with ritualistic perfection. We greeted Our Mother and showed Love for Pan. We thanked and acknowledged the Spirit of the Land. Familiar words of Ancient traditions, the script was well learnt and well spoken. With Ancestral Knowledge laid down in our bones, we ensured the line would not be broken. Excalibre’s sword glinted as we held the blade in reverence, feeling the rightness of process, without needing to understand its significance. Oil, Yeast, Honey and Milk were gifted to activate the Sods. Sacred Water the Blessing, as we gave thanks to the Gods. The Children were invited to enter our Circle. We were blessed by two wee babes, balanced in gender. Astounded we witnessed one of Life’s pure miracles, the babes held hands as the Sun and Moon balanced. Spirit was seen dancing with the Earth’s Descendants. The Earth Mother and the Feminine Spirit did stand, with offerings of Spring Water and Seeds from the Land. We thanked the Directions with great affection, and the Mother declared the Circle Uncast, as the Moon showed Us Her last. The Sods were returned to the Four Corners of the Land, by some who prayed and played and sang. A Feast was laid, but we ate in Sorrow as we offered the Lamb’s Life to the Earth, which She gratefully received as Sacrifice for the Fallow. We are Blessed to have travelled this Sacred Magic. All of which defies Mortal Logic. Our Hearts were full of Love and Blessing… As Hearts would, at Heartswood, our special patch of Heaven. Add Comment First Post! We are LIVE! 05/20/2011
